Introduction

The 2nd Workshop on Warehouse Management and Logistics will take place on October 8-9, 2026 at Hasselt University, Belgium.

Similar to the first edition (organized by Maxime Ogier and colleagues in Lille in October 2024), we aim to bring together a limited number of researchers on warehouse logistics. The focus lies on the modelling and solving of decision-making problems in warehousing (e.g., picker routing, order batching, and storage location assignment problems) as well as on human factors in warehouse management, human-robot interactions, and the integration of such aspects in decision-support models.

The workshop will be small, informal, and feature a single stream of presentations. The workshop is sponsored by the Doctoral School of Hasselt University. Therefore, we are looking for a mix of PhD students and more senior researchers.

Location

The workshop will take place at Hasselt University (campus Hasselt, in the city center) in Belgium, which is easily accessible by train with connections to the French, Dutch, German and UK networks via Brussels, Antwerp, and Liege. Also direct train connections to/from Brussels Airport are available.
